Lisa & Derek’s Parkwood International Wedding

Parkwood International Wedding of Lisa & Derek

How great is it when your friends get married?? And even better when you not only get to be a guest, but get to capture it as well!! It is such an honour and I got to spend time with Lisa going over her beautiful plans and getting excited along with everyone else!

Lisa has such a beautiful soul and spent so much time and energy ensuring that all her guests and family were able to enjoy the day as much as they did.  And there was plenty of family from New Zealand and all over Australia!

Every single part of the day was carefully and beautifully organised and it all came together perfectly!

Lisa’s extremely talented sisters are hairdressers and helped out Hollywood Brides Hair and Makeup, who were trusted with  making our girls look their very best.  All the little girls had their very own adorable hair-do’s too 🙂

The boys got ready at Palazzo Versace which was the room that Lisa and Derek had for their wedding night! And it was gorgeous! I was told that Lisa also organised some very fancy cars for the boys to look at while they were waiting too 🙂

The rest of the formalities were all in the one place, and we spent the day and night at the Parkwood International  The home the Titans, which are Derek’s Team! We witnessed a beautiful ceremony which included some laughs and a couple of tears.  A gentle stroll around the grounds on a fleet of golf buggies, followed by dinner and dancing in the room.  It was the perfect end to the perfect day!!

Lisa and Derek, thank you again for being such great friends and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day.  We wish you every happiness for the future

Love, Kylie xx

Gorgeous Noosa Wedding of Maddy & Cameron.

Where do you even start with these cuties?? Both of them School Teachers currently living in Melbourne, but organise and rock a perfect Noosa Wedding!!

The day started beautifully with side by side apartments for the bride and groom.  All the attendants and family were there and when I entered, Maddy’s dad was in with Cam and the boys and Cam’s parents were in with Maddy and the girls! There was a calm flurry of activity as everyone assisted in making the whole group wedding ready!

Every detail was exquisitely planned and laid out for me when I arrived.  Maddy & Cam even had heartfelt letters written to each other and little gifts to show how much they love each other.

There was so much laughter and fun between the two rooms! It made all our lives so much easier too!!

One of the main things Maddy and I talked about in our first meeting was to have a “first look” with her dad on her wedding day.  I am so happy that we didn’t run out of time for this to happen as not only are the photos of it amazing, but seeing the genuine tears from the bridesmaids, mums and dad were priceless.

The girls looked so amazing that we spent the rest of the morning having an impromptu photo session with them all in the room with the most amazing light!! I could have quite happily photographed there all day!

We then headed down to the beachfront where the ceremony was set up and ready to go.  The styling was simple and perfect.  There was not a dry eye on that beach, and even the Groomsmen shed a tear or two.

From there we got to play in the gorgeous Kombi van and Cam even had a turn at driving his new bride around!!

One of the highlights of the day for me was when the Best Man’s speech included a personalised message from Port Adelaide’s 3 times Best and Fairest, 2 times AFL All Australian and Coaches Association AFL Player of the Year, Robbie Gray.  The look on Cam’s face was priceless and the length that his Best Man went to shows how loved they really are!

It was an amazing day and I am truely grateful for being able to be a part of it!! Thank you again Maddy & Cam for inviting me to share your special day!!

Love, Kylie xx

It’s not every day that your hairdresser gets married!! And what an honour to be there!!

From the moment I arrived, Nerissa and the girls were hard at work curling, straightening and laughing.  All the gowns were arranged beautifully for me and shoes and gifts were everywhere for everyone!! Mel was hard at work making the girls look flawless!  We had some little helpers in the room assisting their Aunties at being hairdressers. It was perfection!

There were some really special moments that morning.  Nerissa and her mum both worked at getting the bridesmaids’ hair done, and Julieann had both daughters working on her hair! No-one had ever told Nerissa that your wedding morning you are supposed to relax and be pampered!! She was working just as hard as any other day!

From the quiet of the ladies room, I made the plunge into the boys world!! It was chaos, but lots of fun! Joel’s mum and Aunty assisted in straightening the boys out and they were ready in no time!

Then it was back to the girls for finishing touches then off to the park for the ceremony.  In the lead up to the wedding day, all the weather stations had been predicting some massive weather events, but on the day, it was sunshine, lollypops and rainbows!!  Not even a drop of rain until we were safely inside the Currumbin RSL!

The ceremony was beautiful and Nerissa and Joel had matching vows that complimented each other, and they said them simultaneously.  It was so beautiful and meaningful, until Joel said he would love his awful unleaded wife 😀

We then had a quick play in the sand before returning to the Currumbin RSL for a wonderful meal and plenty of dancing and fun.

Nerissa & Joel I was so honoured to be a part of your day and loved every single bit of it!! Thank you so much for a beautiful day and I will enjoy watching you two lovebirds grow old together <3

Love, Kylie xx

Currumbin Wedding Michelle & Ben

These guys warned me that they were seriously in love and really cute about it at their engagement shoot that we had a month prior.  I thought, well that works for me, makes my job easier, but little did I realise just how amazingly cute they were together, until I saw them in action.  There was no need for guiding them, they just loved each other in their own way, and it showed!!

Michelle & Ben even shared a gorgeous little beach house in Currumbin to get ready in.  Michelle and her crew had the top level and Ben and his crew had the bottom level.  And they kept to the tradition of not seeing each other the morning of the wedding too! I am still amazed at how that managed to happen, but they did it.  Everything was meticulously planned so gorgeous, as you can see from the photos, the day was perfect!!

We then strolled from the Currumbin Guest House literally across the road to Elephant Rock and Vikings SLSC for the ceremony and reception.  The beach was so empty and beautiful and made the most spectacular backdrop for their photos! Michelle looked absolutely stunning and so in love with her new husband, almost as in love as he is with her.

The night then continued on in the upstairs room of the Currumbin SLSC Vikings with the wonderful staff catering to every possible wish.  The room looked so elegant and was perfectly decorated with a LOVE sign that Ben had actually made himself for his new wife! We definitely took lots of photo opportunities with that!

All in all it was a wonderful day and night. I can’t thank you enough Michelle and Ben for inviting me to be a part of your day.

Summit Wedding of Beck & Steve

Summit Wedding Mt Coot-tha of Beck & Steve

Summit Wedding of Beck & Steve

Reception and Ceremony Venue – Mt Coot-tha Summit Weddings

Emcee and DJ – John Boyle

Cake – Frangipani Cakes Brisbane

Flowers – Brisbane Bouquets

Hair – Nat

Make-up – Leticia Surawski

The location was the gorgeous Summit Wedding.  It was a beautiful overcast Brisbane morning that I met with Beck, surrounded by her family and girlfriends.  She was so beautiful and calm as her friends skilfully did her hair and makeup and got her ready.  The question kept bombarding her, “are you nervous yet??” but she was so cool and calm!! I wish I was half that collected on my wedding day!!

The rain started a bit heavier and she was still calm and gracious as we waltzed around the house getting her finishing touches captured.  By the time I left it was raining quite heavily, but I am sure you will agree, that added so nicely to their day!!

Steve, on the other hand didn’t have such a great start to the day.  There was a mix up with the limo so he didn’t arrive at the expected time, and although most people would have been angry and flustered he too was calm and just happy to be marrying his gorgeous bride.

After all the minor hiccups were over, the rest of the day flowed so beautifully.  The ceremony was so filled with love and close and intimate.  A gorgeous love filled ceremony over looking the whole of Brisbane.  We finished the photos around the grounds of the Summit Wedding Restaurant and then took a spin around the Botanical Gardens at the bottom of the hill.

We then returned to the Summit Wedding for dinner, drinks and dancing the night away overlooking the gorgeous Brisbane City Skyline! What more could you possibly ask for?

Once again, thank you Beck & Steve!!
